Completed the "Da Vinci Code", an excellent novel but the end did not bore well with me or I mgiht be dumb not to understand it. Life has been trying now a days as I think and think about the ways to keep my brain occupied. Sometimes I feel that I do not have enough challenge to keep the grey cell's working. Then I thought about becoming a writer and read through the introduction by Keegan and was impressed to know that it takes years before you can write a novel. He also suggests that we write atleast 300 lines per day so that after 6 to 7 years we can write what our brain thinks. I am not sure and I have started to put forth my thoughts in this blog to work towards writing fiction. Looooong way to go!!!!!
Let me try to communicate a childhood experience. My second brother was a great influence on me when I was young. We used to spend the weekends either fishing in the nearby lake or going far away to the small farm we had beyond the lake and he used to swim and I used to watch as I did not know how to swim nor was permitted to learn it. Our likings were mutual and even now it brings nostalgic memories in me. When we used to go for fishing, we did not have any fishing poles but we used get the bamboo sticks which served as the poles. We used to buy a nylon wire and the hooks from the store. Then we used to dig up the earthworms for the baits and carry it in small plastic packages with little mud. A small corn stem completed the float for the line. He used to throw the line and wait until we find a fish eating the bait and pull the line to complete the fishing. It was lot of fun and he used to give my own stick and we used to fish for long hours. Our catch was not much and we used come with few fish which my mother cook for dinner.
